Caribbean IP Ranks Top Tier with Legal 500

We have once again been ranked in Legal 500’s top tier for cross-Caribbean intellectual property services, making it three consecutive year’s top-ranked in this category since its inception in 2023.

Individual Caribbean IP Member Rankings

We are also pleased to share that Katherine Hely and Patrick Hely have once again received the highest possible recognition in this category – Leading Partners.  Again, Katherine and Patrick have ranked every year as Leading Partners since the introduction of Legal 500’s coverage of IP in the Caribbean and sit with just two other lawyers on this list.

About Legal 500

Legal 500 is widely regarded within the legal industry as one of the leading legal rankings publications, representing real third-party endorsement since its rankings and recommendations are grounded in comprehensive, independent research. Each year, its team collects detailed submissions from law firms, conducts tens of thousands of interviews with attorneys and corporate clients, and surveys hundreds of thousands of in-house counsel to gather qualitative and quantitative feedback on legal services across more than 100 jurisdictions. This systematic, data-driven methodology—combining client feedback, peer insight, and firm performance—gives prospective clients and the market a research-backed benchmark of legal expertise, making a strong Legal 500 ranking a credible signal of quality and reputation.

Overall Ranking Positioning for Caribbean IP

With the news of our Legal 500 ranking, it is now a clean sweep of top-tier rankings for pan-Caribbean intellectual property legal services with every main legal directory publication in the IP space for 2025, following on the heels of similar top-tier recognitions with World Trademark Review and Chambers & Partners earlier this year.

As a firm we are beyond proud of this achievement – excelling in 28 jurisdictions across the Caribbean is no small feat. And while we think that this collection of recognitions is an accurate reflection of the efforts we make and the service we provide, we are also well aware of the continued contribution of our clients, both on a day-to-day basis and providing market feedback when asked by researchers. Here is what one client had to say about us:

“Caribbean IP’s intellectual property practice stands out for its deep regional expertise combined with a truly global perspective. The team demonstrates a strong understanding of both local legal frameworks and international IP standards, which is invaluable for clients navigating cross-border brand protection and enforcement.”

Thank you!
